The Bernard Shaw Bar is a guerrilla bar run by friends of mine. Recently they asked me to help them sort out there outdoor space, but with two conditions; they had little or no money and only two days in which to get any work done. John Mahon and I made a plan and set up a little workshop out back for an exercise in 4x1 white deal and obs board. Ever body did a little something and within two days we had built five tables, eleven benches and five stools along with power washing out the entire space, painting the walls, new lighting and a few other bits and pieces.

Not so long after thet I spent a day
in the design school of D.I.T. leading a one day workshop. The playful plan was to see what we could make for their canteen out of much foraging through the local skips.
