Urban Bosky.
This was a proposal of a new form of public furniture for the streets
of Dublin. A small urban forest, space on a crowded street, a place to
stop a moment and watch the world go by. But it gets pretty cold out and
about Dublin so these poles, clad in copper, are also heated so as you
can hold and hug them to gently warm yourself up as you are passing by. |
|
The poles are clad
in copper to allow them degrade gracefully the copper oxidising at the
top and staying shiny wherever it is touched. A cluster of poles
an urban forest, a new form of public furniture. |
|
Material/Dimensions:
copper poles, reinforced concrete, heat exchange pump, heat coils / 100mm diameter,
lengths ranging from 2 to 3 meters, an overall foot print ranging from 2 meters squared to as large as
is feasible.
